The Judges and Magistrates Vetting Board on January,Thursday
14 fired eight magistrates after evidenced showed they have been
receiving huge sums of money in their accounts which suggests they make
influenced rulings on court cases.
Having failed in its bid to sack Judge Nelson Ombija, the board said it will be proceeding to the Supreme Court to challenge a court order that reversed its verdict to sack Ombija.

2. Jacinta Kwena Dibondo
3. Samuel Mokua Mogaka
4. Timothy Odiwuor
5.Lucy Kithure
6. Roselyn Akinyi
7. Nyagah Jessi Njagi
8 Teresia Mumbua Matheka
Jacinta Dibondo was found guilty of having received KSh 70,000 to grant an order in a Kericho court. She was also found with deposits as much as KSh1 million in her account which she failed to account for.
Timothy Odiwuor on the other hand was found to have trouble with financial management which included non payment of personal bills like house and office rent.
Samuel Mokua Mogaka on the other hand failed to explain numerous payments into his account despite not having a real business.
Most of the magistrates fired actually could not explain deposits into their bank accounts which suggested that they might have been selling justice or dispensing justice to the highest bidder.
