Gospel Singer Ringtone Calls It A Day In Music

Popular Controversial Gospel Singer Quits Music Finally. Reason Being…

Popular controversial gospel singer Alex Apoko, popularly known as Ringtone, has finally revealed that he is calling it a day in the music industry.
Ringtone broke the news through his Instagram account where he said that he is finally calling it a day after rising from grass to grace through a number of hits that catapulted him to national fame.
“It’s been a long journey of success from nothing to the top. I have enjoyed every moment of my career and now finally I have decided to quit the music. Thank you all those who supported me. Thank you for the moments,” the singer posted.
The news was, however, received with mixed reactions as most of his fans questioned why he was abandoning what they believe was a calling from God to spread the word.
The music you did, the word you gave, was an encouragement to many. And that’s why, most of these people here, are pained by this. Of course we can’t tell you to do what you don’t want, but know, Gods calling, isn’t mans calling. You’ve been anointed and appointed, to preach through music. Remember the story of the talents in the Bible? The one who hid his, it was taken away and given to the ones who had earned more. God be with you, and see you through, your journey.

Mmmmmh! NO Ringtone bana,,,, endelea na mziki mazee, we’ll miss your vocalz sana…. Tangu enzi ya  . Usiachilie hapo bro.

The latest comes after Ringtone’s bright career was riddled with controversies. If he was not in a club hanging out with bottles of liquor littered on the table, he was probably posting revealing he is talking to Tanzanian diva Ray C to marry her.
If he was not picking a quarrel with secular singer Jaguar over a new Range Rover in town, he was probably fighting off negative publicity of allegedly impregnating a beautiful lass somewhere.
However, Ringtone’s songs always gave him an edge over a number of his colleagues in the industry.
He rose to fame through his hit song Pamela before going on to release other hits like Talanta and Jubilation.
Such was the rapid rise to fame the song gave him that he once flirted with the idea of becoming a member of parliament of his rural home constituency, Kitutu Masaba, but lost in the by-election.
In 2013, he was on the race to run for the same seat in Dagoretti North constituency but shelved his ambitions on the way.
