Kenya Defence Forces Officer Killed In His Home

A woman has been arrested by police after her husband -A Kenya Defence Forces soldier- was killed in mysterious circumstances just outside their house.
Police have taken Nancy Kandagor for questioning after her husband was murdered on  the night of Monday,January 19 just outside their house in Baringo county.
Baringo police believe she has information that might lead to the arrest of the real killers of her husband as her daughter heard her going to open the door for their father.
Stanley Kipkolomi was among Kenya Defence Forces officers deployed to Somalia in December 2015 and is said to have returned early this year.
The deceased’s daughter is said to have heard her father knock on the door in the dead of the night asking their mother to let him in.
The mother then picked a torch headed for the door and she heard her speaking to people but never heard any commotions to indicate that her father had been attacked.
The soldier was found lying lifeless in a pool of blood at 1AM with deep cuts on his heads.
“When I arrived, people were viewing his body, which lay in a pool of blood with deep cuts to the head,” said a resident, Victor kiprotich as quoted by The Star.

It is thus not clear how the deceased’s attackers struck without his wife raising the alarm considering her husband allegedly knocked on the door.
Police may thus be interested to have the wife record a statement to establish whether or not she had a hand in her husbands murder.
The developments come at a time several families are mourning the possible death of their loved ones after  Al shabaab militants struck a Kenya Defence Forces army base in Somalia killing an unknown number of Kenyan soldiers.
