Wetangula Faults Government On DP Ruto's Case





Kenya party leader and Bungoma Senator Moses Masika Wetangula has faulted the Jubilee government on the way it’s handling William Ruto and former radio journalist Joshua arap Sang’s pending cases at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Ruto and Sang are the only Kenyans that have questions to respond to at the Hague based court after Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda dropped crimes against humanity cases for President Uhuru Kenyatta, Henry Kosgei, Francis Muthaura and Ali Hussein Mohamed were dropped for lack of sufficient evidence.

Currently, close to 21 Member of Parliament , Senators and government officials are attending the Assembly of State Parties (ASP). Aden Duale, the majority leader in the National Assembly is also part of the delegation expected to drum up support to dismiss use of Rule 68 in the case against Ruto.
Wetangula through his official Twitter handle, said that he has no faith with team Ruto at the Hague based court.

The Coalition for Reforms and Democracy c0-principal also attacked the government of using national resources at the expense of an individual by stating: “avoid subordinating National interest to individual interest.”

“Our stay is fully funded by Parliament, like all the other international trips that MPs go to. We are here because we have an agenda as Parliament and which we intend to present to the assembly. Taxpayers pay our salaries and help us accomplish our function, and in this case the meeting is one of them,” Duale said.
