Kenyan Rappers Fight Over Hip Hop Supremacy

Hip hop music, since time immemorial, has been known to be an art full of competition and supremacy battles encompassing ‘gansta-like’ activities that sometimes escalate and plunge enthusiasts into problems.

However, those who have mastered the art of hip hop music have made tremendous strides and much success in their lives.
In Kenya, the genre is largely dominated by a few individuals who have significantly followed the footsteps of legendary hip hop singers as far as competition is concerned.
The greatest rivals in the Kenyan rap world today are apparently Octopizzo and Khlaigraph Jones. The two have not been seeing eye to eye until recently when they met in a function in the capital and took a photo together.
Still, their body language was quite clear for everyone to read between the lines. The photo did rounds social media as no one saw this coming.
On Tuesday, October 10, Octopizzo, who some believe is the most talented rapper around, was on Radio Citizen where he bragged how his brand cannot allow him to ‘stoop low’ and do collabos with other rappers.

Well, seems someone was following keenly and brought on the debate on social media. Gospel singer Juliani (who is also a rapper) has challenged the three well known rappers in Kenya (Octopizzo, Khaligraph Jones and Rabbit King Kaka) to show who is King.
The challenge has already elicited mixed reactions on social media as the four artistes are in a heated argument over who is really the most talented rapper of all.
Fans have not been left behind either. They are in to show support for their best rappers.
