Their presence at home brings that atmosphere of time to make merry is now. However, at some point early pregnancy and drug abuse are some of the hard tasks that parents always face.
Third term alone, several cases of students indulging in drugs and allegedly in sexual activities, have hit headlines across the nation.
In Kisumu county, eight students were caught in a house at Lolwe Estate. They were accused of hiding in the house for almost a week after leaving home for school.
from Rangala Girls Secondary School, Ngere High School, Kisumu Boys High School and Nyamasaria Secondary School.
Earlier on, police cornered 500 students in a night club-Eldoret. The students who were supposed to be in schools found their way to a pub and started having fun.
During the raid, police ambushed students .
seven things that teens can do to avoid that feeling of kuboeka which may push them to drugs and sexual activities. Hiv/Aids is real.

1. Camps

Camps also provides tenagers with a community of caring mentors, they tend to nurture teens to develop self-respect and appreciation for life. All of the outcomes—friendships, overcoming challenges, staying healthy and building character— prepare them for bigger, brighter lives.

2. Visit Family Friends/Relatives

Teens should take time to be off the normal routine, by either visiting family friends or relatives. However, it should come from parents after examining the lifestyle of the hosts. The opportunity of interacting with people who are close tend, to allow someone to be more open and may be vital in tackling any challenge or problems.

3. Movies

Movies/series tend to expand one’s creativity. It is advisable for parents to always give their teens a chance to watch creative pieces but caution on ponographic material.
“Parents who feel guilty about letting their young children watch too many fantasy movies on TV can relax. Researchers have discovered that youngsters who watch films like Harry Potter improve their imagination and creativity. This is believed to be the first attempt to study whether there any educational benefits in exposing children to magical content like witches and wizards, Santa Claus, the Easter bunny and the tooth fairy,” Lancaster University states.

4. Aid Parents

Teens must not just enjoy luxurious lifestyle, they should find time to engage in activities such as house chores and find time to go to the farm to help their parents.
As a mother or father one can take time to teach his or her children how to cook or fix something electronically.

5.  Tuition

Apart from class eight and form four students, the rest can join tution available in their areas. The tuition tend to keep teens busy and cut across as they are in a position to grab things-missed during school days.

6. Computer Classes/Driving School

For class eight and form four leavers, it’s always to good to master something new, driving school and computer lessons will be an idle adventure as they wait for results.

7. Bash

During house party and going for Christmas and New Year party, such events always present a lucrative opportunity for majority of teenagers to start taking drugs and indulging in sexual activities.
As a parent, one must always be careful to ensure all the places his son or daughter visits does not expose him/her to such vices.
“Family is the most important thing to me. They’re my own support system. Everybody thinks friends are more important, but they’re not. Friends are great, but they’ll come and go. Family is always there,” Brianna, a teenager said.
