Ruto Loves The Year 2015, Here's Why

Deputy President William Ruto has stated that 2015 was a positive year for Kenya and that 2016 will be even better for the country.
Ruto made his statements in an effort to contend with those who have been critical of how the Jubile government has handled affairs during the last one year.
The DP attempted to emphasis that Kenyans didn’t need to worry in 2016. He cited the progress of projects within the last year including expansion of the nation’s infrastructure, the connection of primary schools to electricity and major visits to the country by prominent world leaders as key examples of the progress that Kenya is making.

The Deputy President said in a statement through his spokesman David Mugonyi on Saturday, December 26: “2015 was a good year for Kenya in many ways. It was a period of progress, stability and growth in which we advanced our common prosperity through programmes and projects across a variety of sectors. We made investments and improvements that will preserve our present endowment and buttress new wealth creation,”
He further went on to cite the Jubilee administration in implementing Vision 2030 development projects as a major sign of progress during 2015.

The DP went on to cite economic progress as a sign of Kenya’s development during the past one year.
“As a government the true measure of any period is the state of the economy. In 2015 the economy grew at about 5.4 per cent making Kenya Africa’s 9th largest economy. With falling interest rates and contained inflation Kenyans were cushioned from runaway commodity prices and provided with affordable access to loans for both businesses and individuals,” he continued in his statement.
Despite the optimism shown by Ruto, Kenya has been hit with several major incidents and scandals during 2015. These include the Eurobond scandal and the NYS theft scandal.
