Documents from the Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) showing that gospel singer Denno of the 2012 hit collabo Mbona was paid dues from the song, have emerged.

It started with top gospel singer , and how he was allegedly shortchanged, and currently living in poverty.
Bahati said that to help the physically challenged singer back on his feet, he had done a collabo with him titled .
Days later, Denno headlined a Kiss 100 FM breakfast show, and reiterated that Daddy Owen never shared a single coin with him from the hit song’s proceeds.
Daily Nation now reports of the documents’ emergence hence disputing this claim, and throwing the whole scenario into confusion, with fans not knowing who to believe.
The MCSK documents reportedly show details of payments made to Denno by a number of radio and TV stations, where the song was on high rotation.

“The documents are proof that the truth always comes out in the end and people should not use my name falsely,” Daddy Owen said.
A number of celebrities and media personalities including Eric Omondi, Rufftone and Willy Paul have , claiming that Bahati was trying to gain prominence by discrediting other artistes.
Rufftone, who is Daddy Owen’s brother, said that Owen gave Denno KSh 1 million from the song, and so he should explain how he spent the money
