William Ruto takes battle with CORD to Malindi

Ruto continues his battle to take Malindi seat for Jubilee

The Deputy President William Ruto was in Malindi to sway votes for JAP candidate Philip Charo whom the DP feels is best suited to lead the people of Malindi
– The DP criticized the opposition and said they have no hope and support from the rest of Kenya and will not defeat Jubilee in 2017
On Monday, February 22 Deputy President William Ruto took the Jubilee campaign to Ganda location and Malindi town as the coalition plan to take the Malindi constituency seat from CORD.
Ruto is beefing up support in the area for JAP candidate Philip Charo, a man the DP calls a focused leader that Malindi needs. The leaders who accompanied the DP at the campaigns were National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale, Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko and ODM MP Gideon Mung’aro.
Mung’aro said the contest in Malindi was between those who wanted to be controlled by outsiders and those who wanted change.
“Philip Charo is your son. He is your servant. Do not elect someone else’s stooge,” Mung’aro said.
The DP said CORD lacks support and credibility with Kenyans and with that they have no chance of winning the 2017 general election and instead Coast residents should support the winning team that is JAP.

The Malindi by-election set for March 7 has several candidates but has arguably turned into a two-horse race between the top political coalitions in the country – Jubilee and CORD.
Top Jubilee and CORD leadership have set camp in the area drum up support for their candidates Phillip Charo (JAP) and Willy Mtengo (ODM).
Others in the race are: David Mangi (Shirikisho Party of Kenya), Reuben Katana (Kadu-Asili), Ali Attas Shariff (Labour Party of Kenya), Peter Ponda (Chama cha Uzalendo) and Nelson Gunga (Federal Party of Kenya).
