Moses Kuria to name CORD MPs involved in NYS scandal



– The controversial MP says he has given the former cabinet secretary two weeks to name the opposition and government members of parliament involved in the NYS saga
– Kuria and the Ruiru legislator Esther Gathogo called on the people of Nairobi not elect Waiguru when she runs for the Nairobi gubernatorial elections
Gatundu South member of parliament Moses Kuria has said he is ready to name 52 CORD and Jubilee MPs involved in the NYS scandal if former devolution cabinet secretary Anne Waiguru does not do it in the next two weeks.
Kuria who was speaking at a church fundraiser in Githurai, Nairobi on Sunday, February 28, he blamed Waiguru of siding with the opposition in naming those linked to the loss of KSh 791 million.
“Jubilee leaders will in the next two weeks focus on voter registration. In that duration, Waiguru should step out and name everyone involved in the National Youth Service scandal,” Kuria said.
Kuria further said that Waiguru has sufficient time to name all those involved in the scandal as she knows them well.
Kuria also urged those in attendance not to support Waiguru in her quest for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat his sentiments were echoed by Ruiru member of parliament Esther Gathogo who urged the residents not to vote for Waiguru.

The Public Accounts Committee which had been probing the ministry  of devolution spending found in their inspection of 40 Huduma centers in 27 counties across the country did not meet value for the money quoted for construction.
The Huduma centers were a flagship in the Anne Waiguru administration, and 52 members of parliament are said to have gotten lucrative tenders for the construction of the centers. The tenders were meant for the NYS.
